    Asterisk with app_rpt is well defined by the statement “Everything you need, to do everything you want.”

    In one box you can have a complete Repeater Controller that encodes and decodes multiple CTCSS codes, has DTMF commands, Voice Announcements, Prompts, Mail and Menus, Contact Closure Telemetry, A PSTN and IPphone Autopatch, a IP-PBX Telephone Switch and Remote Control of Frequency Agency Radios, and a PC PTT Dispatch Client Server.

    In keeping with the spirit of Amateur Radio, everything is provided for you to configure or extend the system as you like. The full development environment including source code, compiling and debugging tools are installed.

    Location and Equipment needed for the AARN-MHAL site

    • The repeater system will be located on Cap Shaw Mountain in Harvest, Alabama
    • Test system consists of two GM300 Motorola units setup as a UHF repeater on 443.025, Tone 110.9 Hz
    • A 2 Meter Syntor X or a M110 Motorola set on 145.730, Tone 100 Hz
    • A 6 Meter Maxtrac will set on base frequency of 51.70, Tone 100 Hz. This will also be one of the agile radios. Looking for it to switch over to the national calling frequency (52.525, No Tone) then back to base frequency for local QSO or other programmed frequency.
    • Have a 10m vertical but no transceiver yet.
    • Have the donated repeater antenna, 4 bay folded dipole, have another antenna donated, Tri-bander GP-15 for 6/2/440
    • Need coax line for length runs up to 150 feet
    • Need poly phasers for each coax run
    • Need grounding rods and grounding wire
